Steam ejectors are frequently used in condensing steam turbine systems for creation of vacuum in vacuum condesers thus improving turbine and system performance.
In condesing system, steam ejector has function to extract air and other non-condensing gases from the sealed condenser, and in such way to maintain vacuum which corresponds to ratio of cooling water quantity, cooling water temperature and cooling surface.
For good opeartion it is necessary for steam ejector to receive calculated quantity of fresh steam of defined pressure and temperature (p =8 to 40 bar abs, t = ~400 C ).
Such steam ejectors can create vacuum up to 98%.
Steam ejectors can be single stage and double stage, in which case it contains atmosperic stage and condensing stage.
